My phone was stolen. How do I know it won't be sold through uSell?

While we cannot prevent the sale of items that have been reported as lost or stolen, we strongly discourage the practice. Our Terms of Service explicitly state that 'you are the actual legal owner of any and all property offered to be sold through the Site and Services and you are acting on your own behalf.'

If you have reported your device to your carrier as lost or stolen, the ESN (electronic serial number) or IMEI number will be flagged. That means that even if someone did try to sell your device, uSell would not accept it since it was reported as lost or stolen.

uSell records the ESN, IMEI, or serial number of each and every device received.  Each ESN, IMEI, or serial number is checked against various databases to ensure that the device is not flagged as lost or stolen.  uSell does not accept devices that have been flagged as lost or stolen.

If you believe your device was sold through uSell without your permission, please contact our customer care team at support@usell.com and provide your full name, the make and model of the device, and ESN, IMEI, or serial number of this device.
